Once upon a time in a small village nestled in the heart of the Czech Republic, lived a kind-hearted and generous farmer named Bree. He owned a small piece of land and spent his days tending to his crops and livestock. He was loved and respected by everyone in the village, and his good fortune and bountiful harvests were the talk of the town.
One day, while tending to his fields, Bree stumbled upon a tiny little owl with large, bright eyes and a curious expression. The owl had a wounded wing and was unable to fly. Feeling sorry for the little creature, Bree took him in and nursed him back to health. The owl, whom he named Malý Orlík, quickly became Bree’s loyal companion.
In no time at all, Bree and Malý Orlík became inseparable. They worked together in the fields and wandered the countryside hand in hand, exploring the beauty of the land. As they grew closer, Bree began to confide in Malý Orlík, sharing his worries and fears. Malý Orlík would listen attentively, blinking his big, round eyes and nodding his head as if understanding every word.
Years passed, and Bree and Malý Orlík grew old together. They continued to work side by side, but Bree’s body began to tire, and his vision began to fade. One night, as they sat by the fireside, Bree turned to Malý Orlík and whispered, „I fear that death will soon be knocking at my door.“
Malý Orlík’s eyes grew wide with alarm, and he set out on a quest to find a way to outsmart death. He traveled to the ends of the earth and consulted with the wisest of sages and the most powerful of wizards, but none could offer him a solution. With each passing day, Bree grew weaker, and the villagers began to worry.
Finally, Malý Orlík stumbled upon an old and forgotten book hidden in the bowels of a musty library. The book, written in a language long since dead, promised a solution to his problem. With trembling hands, he leafed through the pages until he found what he was looking for.
The solution, it seemed, lay in a flower that grew only in the darkest and deepest of forests. Malý Orlík set out alone, his heart heavy with the knowledge that his dear friend Bree’s time was running out. He journeyed through the forests, over mountains and across rivers till he finally reached the spot where the flower grew.
The flower was guarded by a fearsome creature, a monster that few had ever seen and none had ever survived. But Malý Orlík, felt no fear. With the courage of a lion, he stepped forward, staring the monster down, and spoke the words he had learned from the book.
The monster roared, and Malý Orlík stood his ground. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small, precious seed that he had brought from Bree’s farm. He planted the seed at the monster’s feet, and with a mighty roar, the monster fell to the ground, defeated.
Malý Orlík plucked the flower and raced back to the village, where Bree was waiting for him. He brewed a potion from the flower and gave it to Bree, who drank it eagerly. With each passing moment, Bree’s eyes grew brighter, and his strength returned. The two friends hugged, and the entire village rejoiced.
From that day on, Bree and Malý Orlík spent every moment together, cherishing the gift of life that had been bestowed upon them. They knew that someday death would come knocking again, but they were ready to face it together, with courage and conviction. They knew that as long as they had each other, they had nothing to fear.
Ponaučení z pohádky na dobrou noc
